The Evil Fruits clan was founded in October 2004. The founders are big / GrF Boss (Orange), Evil Mommy (Lime), Dr. Trax (Banana) and Ich bin ein Apfel (Kiwi).

Clan name

The Evil Fruits name was born out of a joke. Kiwi played under the name ‘Ich bin ein Apfel‘ (I am an apple) and used to be a member of Kapsreiter. Dr. Trax found it funny and made jokes about it by changing his name to Apfelmus (apple puree) etc. Things got out of hand with Dr.Trax and Evil Mommy playing under fruit names. The Evil tag was added later and is basically the Evil tag of Evil Mommy.

How it came to be

Boss used to play in the big clan. Evil Mommy (EM) used to make a sport of kicking their asses. Boss and EM also played together and did some memorable actions and had some good laughs. They go almost back to the beginning of FC as all of the guys from the first hour.

Evil Mommy (EM) used to be one of the best players in Farcry and Dr. Trax was one of the less formidable opponents he had. There was mutual respect for each others skills.

Boss and EM lost contact for a while. Boss had joined GrF in the meantime and Trax and Apfel gad around the FC Servers doing all kinds of funny things to have a laugh.

After some time Boss and EM met again and decided to exchange e-mail addresses. EM learnt that Boss wasn’t really happy in GrF and wanted to start a clan with him. He agreed.

The next logical step was to try and get Dr. Trax and Apfel to join. Dr. Trax agreed at first although he was very reluctant. He didn’t want to use TS or follow commands. After some convincing work Apfel also agreed to join the Fruits.

We started a quest to find more players as we needed at least 5, which is very difficult for a starting clan.

We wanted to recruit Mmyu. He was at that time one of the last good FC players without a clan. Boss sent him several e-mails but he didn’t strike us as being very enthusiastic about the idea at first. He was actually waiting for the clan to really take off.

In the meantime we launched the Evil Fruits website (20-10-2004) and recruited Ghi (Lychee). The website and a last historical mail convinced Mmyu to join and he changed his name to Evil Plum.

We had much trouble in keeping Dr. Trax onboard. Although he’s a super player he is not a teamplayer. He left the clan after a few weeks. All attempts to bring him back were fruitless.

Later on we convinced to get Breadfruit, Bilimbi and Durian onboard and our first core-team was complete.

Our first funwar took place in November 2004 against HFT which we won 5-2. 2 months later we joined the Clanbase European Assault ladder. We had a good takeoff and managed to climb the ladder fast with rank 7 as our best result.

We had a lot of good fights and much fun in this time. I think we can also say with a little bit pride that we had one of the best reputations in the ladder which made things even more enjoyable.

In July 2005 we had to fell another big decision, with Battlefield 2 a game was released many of us were waiting for. We decided to get a multigaming clan and to play both games, Far Cry and Battlefield 2. But after some months it became clear that BF2 seemed to be the game with future in EF, so we quit playing Far Cry in a Ladder after 47 ladder matches and around 80 matches totally.

Together with 22ndSAS, an old friend out of FC times, we created EvilSAS as a BF2 clan and played some matches together. Finally the BF2 squad of 22ndSAS merged totally in EF and after some passionate recruiting we joined Clanbase in October 2005. Hope we will have a lot of fun and maybe also a little bit success here too ...

We will see in the future how this story goes on, maybe we play BF2 now for the rest of our life, maybe we find a new and better game or ... who knows ...

Meanwhile we have some real 'core' Members like Evil- Ugli, Lemon, Razberry, Croiga and Cactus. Also Avocado, Choke, Dragon, Rambai and Cherry are good fellows. And not to forget our Top Shooters Atemoya and Friday.

Some of the Members are playing Company of Heroes beside BF2 just to shorten the time until 'Crysis' is ready to play... Now BF2142 is released and it looks like we found an additional Game to play as a Clan.

October 2007

Evil Fruits are still a Multigaming Clan with a great Core. Enemy Territory was not what we were waiting for so we are playing BF2, CoD2, WiC, Enemy Territory in small groups until a good team-game for us comes out.

December 2007

Evil Fruits have decided that CoD4 is the direction we are going to head in, Crysis had too many bugs in on release, and we wanted something we could just jump straight into and play. We have again joined the Clanbase ladders, we know them best and have a good reputation there. Evil Fruits are looking at 2008 with vengeful eyes from the injustices of BF2 and have our eyes set on the top of the CoD4 ladders.
